Ewgis Research Institute

Aiming to break the socioeconomic inequities in access to scientific research opportunities, the Ewgis Research Institute (ERI) provides distinctive one-on-one mentorship for students conducting STEM research under the guidance of an expert mentor. All of our mentors are professors, postdoctoral researchers, or PhD candidates who are familiar with the student's research area. Participants will work on a research project with their mentor and write a formal scientific research paper. ERI provides a shared experience for scholars, including training and opportunities to develop skills, as well as workshops, panel discussions, social events, and other activities. The summer concludes with the Closing Ewgis Conference Session, in which students present their research progress. Students receive an Ewgis Scholar certificate at the end of the program.
