ewia was established to meet the vision of circular economics. That vision is a society without waste. In such society, waste does not exist and almost all waste that ends in a landfill today can have more reasonable use.
With such vision ewia supports science and research in the field of renewable energy sources, engages in no-waste economy concept, supports active education of citizens, makes use of state-of-the-art technologies in the field of raw material waste and its energy use.
ewia is at the same time a partner for municipal sphere as well as for industrial sector in the construction and operation of waste processing and valuation facilities.
ewia's mission is to design, build and operate facilities supporting the principle of circular economy and enable maximum material waste valuation and energetic valuation of residual components.
Concept of such facilities is being created due to alarming state of waste management in Slovakia, country´s long-term needs, European Union requirements and in accordance with national legislation and waste management strategy .
In its mission, ewia is building on decades of experience in waste valuation in Slovakia and draws rich experience from other European Union conuntries.
