Founded in 2012 as a spin-off of the renowned Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland, Excelsus operates worldwide, using several synchrotron facilities, such as SLS (Switzerland), ALBA (Spain), DESY (Germany), ESRF (France), and Max IV (Sweden). Its headquarters are located at PARK INNOVAARE, a major innovation center in Switzerland, in the proximity to the PSI and its synchrotron facility. In 2023, our growing team established some laboratories on the Sankt-Johann Campus in Basel, a city which has become one of the leading biopharma hubs in Europe.
