ExcelTec since 2004 develops and markets fine polymer powders (Innov’PA) designed for all kind of laser sintering machines (SLS)
The Innov'PA family is a completely new Nylon SLS powder, based on a radically different manufacturing process, which allows the production of a smaller and rounder grain (40 µm). Further, and perhaps most importantly, these powders allow a reduction in the refreshing rate to 25% on all Laser Sintering and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) systems.
ExcelTec is now pleased to announce, for immediate release:
Innov'PA 1350 ETx,a black Nylon 11, with very good shock resistance, ductility and extreme elongation
Innov'PA 1550 XS, a Nylon 12, enhanced to produce a whiter part, with excellent resolution and smooth surface finish. Additionally using Colour Charge this powder can be custom coloured
Innov'PA 2550 GBAl, a composite Nylon 12, this is a general purpose material mimicking PP20, that replaces the current material
Innov’PA powders deliver a high level of functionality in an "engineering plastic", combined with good life cycle properties and excellent chemical resistance. The finer grain size results in better layer to layer adhesion, reduced porosity and better mechanical properties. With the improved surface finish Innov'PA takes a major step ahead of its competitors and closer to the look and feel of injection moulded components.
These properties make the range of Innov'PA powders ideally suited to Additive Layer Manufacturing, reducing post processing, and allowing direct Vacuum Metalizing, or Metalization.
For those really pushing the boundaries, ExcelTec's PA12 powder matrix can be customized to achieve specific properties and or colours.
