Excess To Needs

Excess To Needs is a non-profit corporation registered with the Virginia State Corporation Commission. In addition, we have federal income tax exempt status under Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) (3) The primary objective of Excess to Needs program is to connect excess goods from the donors directly to people-in-need. Excess goods could be food, clothing, toys, furniture, or other essentials that one person may not need but could benefit someone who doesn’t have them. It is a cloud-based system that runs on mobile devices. The mobile app provides donors, drivers, and the recipients a platform to coordinate for getting the excess goods to the recipient with the touch of a button. Our program aims on the following principles: - Empowers citizens to help the needy - Connects donors directly to people in need - Donations can be food, clothing, toys, furniture, and other essentials - Donors can donate with a touch of a button - Drivers can volunteer to make short distance and quick trips to pick up and drop off goods - Recipients can receive donation without leaving home
