Exchanged Church

The traditional Sunday morning church is struggling. Attendance of Christian churches is falling at an alarming rate. The secular culture is attacking Christian beliefs, and it is having an impact on what is being taught in many churches. We want to get back to the basics. A small community of believers, focused on learning the Bible, sharing the Gospel and serving members of the church body. No big buildings and large parking lots. No bands with smoke machines and light shows. House churches (or micro churches) have been around for a very long time. At Exchanged Church, we want to build on that notion. Exchanged Church is building a central organization that will provide legal and administrative oversight at the lowest possible cost. We will be guided by a body of Elders. We are developing a curriculum to guide the growth of each “Gathering” (home church). This curriculum be an 18-24 month study program covering: • Principles of Christianity • History and structure of the Bible • Characters of the Bible • Main concepts of the Bible • History of the church • Building a relationship with God • Identification of spiritual gifts • Breaking the addiction to culture • Practical skills to enable discipleship Exchanged Church will be committed to support of members and service in local communities across the country. Exchanged Church can be thought of as a trade school for Christians. And education focused less on theory and more on the practical application of knowledge to the growth of God’s Kingdom.
