EXEDY Australia Pty Ltd (formerly known as Daikin Clutch Australia & EXEDY New Zealand Limited are subsidiaries of EXEDY Corporation (Osaka, Japan). EXEDY Corporation is a leading original equipment manufacturer of automotive transmission components for heavy truck, construction, industrial and passenger vehicles. EXEDY is the premier distributor of clutch products to the automotive aftermarket in Australia and NZ and the world's largest original equipment clutch manufacturer for Japanese vehicles supplying clutch products to 45% of all Japanese vehicles and 85% of all Japanese trucks, as well as being an OE supplier to Ford and General Motors. EXEDY was awarded the GM Supplier of the Year in 2000, 2002 & 2003 and was awarded Best Supplier Powertrain by Daimler in 2008. EXEDY Australia has three warehouse and distribution outlets. The head office and warehouse is located in Melbourne and services the requirements of Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania as well as Fiji and some other export markets. State branches in Sydney and Brisbane have been established to specifically cater for the NSW, ACT, Queensland and NT markets respectively. EXEDY New Zealand operates from a central office and warehouse in Glenfield, Auckland. EXEDY distributes throughout Australia & New Zealand to most of the vehicle manufacturer aftermarket programs, major national wholesalers and prominent reseller groups and specialists. Trade customers are serviced by a nationwide distribution network.
