Exosome Analytics

Cancer takes hundreds of thousands of lives each year. Most cancer deaths result from the metastatic spread of drug-resistant cells, thus biomarkers capable of predicting tumor progression and therapeutic response are needed. Liquid biopsy is a promising approach to characterize the tumor phenotype. EVs (exosomes) are potential sources of tumor biomarkers because they carry the same histological membrane markers as a tumor. However, a major challenge encountered when analyzing histological markers on EVs is the fact that the signal from histological markers is often beyond the detection limit of commonly used techniques. Exosome Analytics develops high-sensitivity technologies and products for EVs profiling. Based on these technologies, we are developing diagnostic platforms for early cancer screening, tumor profiling and early detection of tumor relapse.
