Exploring is a national youth career exploration program established in 1969 serving youth and young adults ages 10-20 by providing immersive career experiences, workforce development training, and mentorship opportunities to strengthen character and leadership skills. Explorer Clubs serve middle school students ages 10-14 and Explorer Posts serve teens and young adults ages 14-20. Exploring is a Learning for Life and Scouting America program focusing 100% on youth career development! The Occoneechee Council's Exploring Program serves 12 counties near Raleigh, NC. Nationwide Exploring offers programs in 12 career fields - aviation, business, fire & EMS, communications, engineering, healthcare, law enforcement, law & government, skilled trades, arts & humanities, and social services.
