We develop microsurgery assist robot.
Microsurgery is a surgical technique of small human vessel connection(anastomosis). It is a versatile and essential technique for reconstructive surgery to improve patients' quality of life(QOL). However, it requires very delicate and precise surgical tool manipulation and it hinders from technique standardization.
We develop a robotic system which replicate surgeon's input motion with minimizing hand tremor and providing motion scale down. The robot is intended to maximize surgical safety and efficacy, and also improve surgeon's learning curve. And we target to increase the number of microsurgeon, and patients to whom treated by microsurgery to improved their QOL.
