F.A. Peabody Insurance

The F. A. Peabody Insurance is a privately held, family corporation with roots dating back to 1927 in the town of Houlton. Frank Allen Peabody started the business as a property casualty insurance agency, but over the years it has expanded and diversified into real estate brokerage, travel services, life, health and group benefits, investment management, risk management services, third-party administration and broadband Internet services. FAPCO’s culture and business outlook is genuinely depicted in its mission statement. Although written for the insurance division specifically, these creeds apply equally to all subsidiary operations. In 2007, the F.A. Peabody Company was named the Eastern Region Finalist for the Small Business of the Year award which was designed to select and honor the very best business that showed excellence in a variety of criteria. In 2008, the company also received the Governor’s Award for Business Excellence.
