Fab4Farming (Functional agro-biodiversity for farming) is a 4-years project financed by the Walloon plan for pesticide reduction (PWRP). It aims to explore how the agroecological practices in winter cereals fields act as a functional biodiversity enhancing tool for reducing pesticide use and soil disturbance. The project is a collaboration between ULB (Soil Microbiology and Pollinators expertise) and Gembloux Agro-Biotech (Carabids and Biodiversity expertise) The project is supervised by Marc Dufrêne and Fanny Boerave (both ULg-Gembloux Agro-Biotech), Cécile Thonar and Nicolas J. Vereecken (both ULB, AgroecologyLab). The team is composed of 1 Post-Doc researcher, 2 PhD students and 1 research technician.
