Factor is a refined collection of UPF50+ sun protective, sustainable swimwear made from a luxurious Italian Lycra, derived from rescued ocean plastics. A fresh perspective on swimwear, combining timeless luxury fashion with skincare and sustainability.
After being diagnosed with melanoma in 2007, Founder and CEO Melissa Leach struggled to find key holiday wardrobe pieces reflecting her own personal style, an elevated aesthetic and adequate sun protection.
Melissa worked in London on the business side of fashion for 15+ years with a number of influential British designers, most notably Burberry and Jimmy Choo. Drawing from her experience in the fashion industry and punctuated by her move to Bermuda, she decided to create a refined collection of swimwear with a chic minimalist style focusing on sun protection and sustainability.
The capsule collection consists of strong silhouettes in classic colors designed to be worn as both swimwear and ready-to-wear, offering endless styling options and maximum wardrobe flexibility.
