The Forum for Agriculture, Innovation, and Empowerment for Children and Youth Sierra Leone (FAIECY-SL) is a youth-led organization dedicated to fostering positive change in agriculture and climate change in Sierra Leone. Established on February 13, 2021, FAIECY-SL is focused on transforming local communities through the promotion of climate-smart agriculture and climate education.
Our Core Objectives:
1. Climate-Smart Agriculture: Our aim is to disseminate knowledge on climate-smart agriculture techniques that help mitigate the impact of climate change on farming in Sierra Leone.
2. Climate-Smart Education: We collaborate with government institutions, community stakeholders, civil society organizations, children, and young people to raise awareness about the effects of climate change.
3. Environmental Conservation: We participate in projects and initiatives focused on protecting and restoring the environment, fostering a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable ecosystem.
Mission:
FAIECY-SL strives to promote climate-smart agriculture and education in Sierra Leone, empowering communities to adapt to changing climate conditions, cultivate healthy crops, and maintain a harmonious environment.
Vision:
We envision a future where climate-smart agricultural practices are widely adopted, climate education is universally accessible, and environmental conservation efforts lead to a cleaner, safer, and sustainable ecosystem for generations to come.
