Fair Finance Asia

Fair Finance Asia (FFA) is a network of over 90 civil society organizations (CSOs) in Asia working together to ensure that financial institutions operating in the region uphold social and environmental rights and the well-being of local communities. FFA operates at the Asia regional level and across ten civil society coalitions in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. FFA collaborates and partners with Fair Finance International, which is active in Europe, Africa and Latin America. FFA uses the Fair Finance Methodology to assess the policies of banks in a range of thematic areas, such as climate change, gender human rights, and transparency and accountability. The Methodology is based on international standards for sustainability and best practices. The Methodology is developed by Fair Finance International, and is updated every two years to remain up to date.
