Federation of African Law Students (FALAS) Botswana is a non-partisan and non-profit federation affiliated with FALAS international. FALAS was birthed by Emmanuel Nwobodo (former National President of the Law Students Association of Nigeria) to create fusion and a unifying platform for undergraduate law students, to productively interact on issues that orbit around the inculcation of rule of law in our respective jurisdictions, cross-jurisdictional analyses of topical legal issues peculiar to Africa. The Federation is also the apex and unifying umbrella body for undergraduate law students across the African continent.
FALAS BOTSWANA as an entity under FALAS International seeks to empower and inspire law students across Botswana to be the best version of themselves, motivated by the slogan "You are more than just a law student." FALAS Botswana achieves this goal through its passionate team of volunteers who have given themselves to serve the student body. Through educative, informative and vibrant social media platforms, webinars, collaborations, and networking, FALAS Botswana is making strides in ensuring that law students in Botswana make the most of available opportunities presented to them, and are challenged to dig deep and cultivate their talents and skills, earn new skills, and overcome their comfort zones for a vibrant and colourful career both in law and outside the legal space.
