Familiaris AI is an AI-driven learning platform designed to support both students and universities by fostering deeper understanding, critical thinking, and structured learning. Unlike AI tools that provide instant answers, Familiaris AI engages students in an interactive learning process, guiding them to analyze, reflect, and truly comprehend their coursework. We are a team of five students dedicated to bridging the gap between AI and higher education. Our mission is to develop a tool that universities can confidently recommend—one that enhances student learning while maintaining academic integrity. Currently, Familiaris AI is tailored to economics and administration, the second most popular field of study in Norway. By specializing in this area first, we aim to refine our approach before expanding to other disciplines. The platform serves as a personalized academic assistant, helping students engage with their curriculum in a structured and meaningful way. Familiaris AI is designed not just for students but also for universities seeking to integrate AI responsibly into education. With a subscription model of 200 NOK per month, it offers an accessible and ethical alternative to traditional AI tools. By promoting active learning rather than passive shortcuts, Familiaris AI ensures that AI strengthens education rather than undermining it. We believe that AI should be a tool for enhancing education—not replacing it.
