About Fangirl Central

Fangirl Central is a media company co-founded by writers, filmmakers, and sister comedy duo Amanda & Amber Miller. Their short film THE DAY I DIDN’T MEET ONE DIRECTION (2022) was the genesis of the company, which they created to center Black & queer passion and fandom. After a podcast, an original musical revue inspired by Disney Channel, a Twilight game show, and a One Direction drag show, they now host events in LA with the dedicated purpose of bringing together passionate communities of marginalized and underrepresented fans and artists. Catch them at a cowork, karaoke, screening, or hosting more live shows. Or Comic-Con. Always Comic-Con. Fangirl Central has been featured in Vulture Magazine, Polyester Zine, Deadline, and a Paramount+ original documentary. Amanda & Amber continue to develop and produce original film & TV projects, while consulting with production companies, studios, and creators to build organic fandoms using research and firsthand experience to amplify Black, queer, femme audiences.
