Driven by a passion for innovation in collegiate rocketry, FAR-OUT (Friends of Amateur Rocketry - Oxidizers Uninhibited Tournament) is the premier platform for student teams specializing in hybrid and liquid propulsion systems. Born from our own experiences in college rocketry, we aim to fill the gap in competitions by offering a space where teams can explore, innovate, and showcase their technical prowess in rocket design and launch dynamics.
Hosted in the Mojave Desert by Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR), a beacon for rocketry development since 2003, FAR-OUT provides teams with unparalleled logistical support, expert mentorship, and the freedom to test novel materials and fuels. Our partnership with the Mojave Air & Space Port further elevates the competition, offering a venue for our conference and a gathering space for the aerospace community.
