We welcome the opportunity to mediate your case and bring it to a successful resolution. By introduction, I am admitted to practice law in Florida and New Jersey, working as a trial lawyer since 1985. I was most proud to be certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in civil trial law in 1994, an honor I still hold today. In addition, I am pleased to be a certified and court-appointed mediator for more than 20 years and a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. . My experience as a trial lawyer both for the plaintiff and defense has proved invaluable in achieving success in helping countless parties successfully resolve their issues, avoiding the uncertainties and expense of a trial. Mediation has some similarities to litigation. Perhaps the single most important task of a mediator is to listen. Whether it was a witness on the stand, or in mediation, a party, attorney, or claims adjuster at mediation, listening to what each has to say and learning what is important to each, is paramount. Once an understanding is gained, I am able to impart my past life and working experiences to aid in shedding a little more light on the issues, allowing the parties to make informed decisions in their best interests. Compromise is always necessary, but there is no reason why a successful mediation cannot bring closure with both parties feeling the settlement was in each of their best interests.
