FareShare Kent

We believe good food should go to people, not waste. We redistribute surplus food from the food industry - be it farmers, manufacturers, processors, retailers and more - to a network of 150+ charities and community groups across Kent, fighting hunger and tackling food waste at the same time. In 2024, we redistributed 934 tonnes of food to organisations supporting the most vulnerable across Kent, providing the equivalent of 2.2 million meals. We have 80+ regular volunteers who are the lifeblood of our organisation. Together with our volunteer teams from our dedicated corporate partners, they sort and pack food ready for transportation, assist on deliveries, drive vans and maintain the warehouse. Often they find us through our community projects and are on a journey to get a job. We’re helping our volunteers become more employable.
