The firm's current Managing Partner, Dr. Sarah Farid, is proud to have worked with the best. and to be Pakistan’s only woman lawyer of her age with a Doctorate in law to independently own and manage a chambers that is family legacy from the 1920s. With expertise in transactional work and litigation, from pre-partition Mumbai to present day Karachi), she runs the firm and it operates with a human rights center. In 2013, her career starts as a corporate lawyer at Mohsin Tayebaly, a Legal 500 law firm in Karachi, representing Fortune 500 companies, to go on to be in-house counsel singlehandedly managing legal matters in compliance, tax evasion and money laundering for 192 bank branches across Pakistan, directly dealing with The State Bank, FBR, ANF and others on a daily basis.
Dr. Farid is a cum laude graduate of Rice University in Houston (top 20 US national universities) in Public Policy and Economics, with an LLB (Honors) from the University of London and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in International Law, Rights & Policy (focus on Tax, Gender and Criminal Justice) from the University of Arizona (top 50 American Bar Association law schools). Her corporate and civil practice revolves around multimillion cross border contracts/transactions (M & A, sale/purchase, JV), Patents & Trademarks for Nestle, Unilever & Reckitt, rendering legal opinions for contract, tax, trust, labor and compliance matters. Her doctoral dissertation investigates the cultural narrative and legal regime for honor killings in in South Asia. In 2016, she moves litigation on behalf of US Federal Courts and against State Prosecutors, in complex litigation and criminal defense for general public in the court and prison systems of the US, consecutively working with The Central Jail in Karachi.
