Foot & Ankle Research and Innovation Laboratory (FARIL) at Mass General, Harvard Medical School, was founded in 2017 by the world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon, Prof. Christopher W. DiGiovanni, and directed by Dr. Soheil Ashkani, aiming to improve the quality of healthcare in foot and ankle. Benefiting from a fully facilitated cadaveric lab, biomechanical lab, 3D printing and prototyping, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, modern imaging modalities, expert research staff, and various sources of funding, FARIL is a great place for inventors and innovators in all fields of orthopaedic surgery, particularly foot and ankle, to do research, develop, and flourish.
