Farmelody is mainly involved in helping farmers exploit the potential of the microbiome to enhance animal health. With systemic monitoring of the microbiome, in the future, it will be possible to constantly check and tune the animals’ welfare. This will help humankind prevent animal diseases outbreaks and reduce the use of antibiotics. As a side benefit, the microbiome regulation could provide a disruptive tool to improve the feed conversion ratio in terms of greenhouses gasses emissions.
