It all started with an idea to challenge the notion that produce needs to be perfect. A carrot has more that one root? Toss it. That tomato is a tad over ripe? No thank you. Every year farmers are left with an abundance of perfectly good “imperfect produce” they can’t sell based on their appearance. Not only is that food wasted, it’s time, money, water and energy wasted. It needs to stop. That’s where Farmented comes in.
We take “ugly” vegetables and turn them into something truly beautiful. Each of our products are bursting with mouth watering flavor: Radish Kimchi, Dill Sauerkraut, Spicy Carrot Chips and our Champán de Salsa (champagne salsa). These carefully crafted ferments make perfect additions to any meal and are great to just snack on straight from the jar. Plus these bad boys are packed full of probiotics to fuel your digestive system. And you know what they say, “Happy gut, happy life.” Well, maybe that’s just us, but it doesn’t make it any less true!
