Farmwise Devon

Farmwise Devon runs a schools day in October where around 1400 children between 7-11 years old discover all about where their food comes from. There are 12 zones illustrating the diverse range of agriculture in Devon as well as wildlife, forestry and environmental areas. In May Farmwise run the Children's Farm at Devon County Show providing hands on activities for school children and families to engage with farming and food production. Farmwise Devon is delivered in partnership between Devon County Council, NPS South West and Devon County Agricultural Association. A Steering Group led by Deborah Custance Baker oversees the events.
