Faros Initiative

At Faros Initiative, our goal is to shine a light on human trafficking in western PA. "Faros" is the Greek word for "lighthouse," symbolizing hope, restoration, and resilience. Our handmade wristwear products are thoughtfully crafted to expose the human trafficking industry in Pennsylvania. 100% of our profits are donated to Refuge for Women Pittsburgh, a faith-based non-profit designed to offer female survivors of sex trafficking and sexual violence/exploitation immediate access to temporary housing, crisis intervention, and other support services. Refuge for Women Pittsburgh's vision is to see that every woman that is sexually exploited will have the hope, support, and tools needed to pursue her dreams and live a life of freedom.
