Formosa Association Of Student Cultural Ambassadors Dc Chapter (Fasca Dc)

Formosa Association Of Student Cultural Ambassadors Dc Chapter (Fasca Dc) company information, Employees & Contact Information

The main goal of the Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA) is to spread awareness of Taiwanese and Chinese culture in Northern American and most importantly here in the DC Area. Our ambassadors all have a Taiwanese and or Chinese background and are trained during the annual training program to carry out this goal. The training program exposes our ambassadors to Chinese and Taiwanese culture that they may not have been aware of before. Our teachers come from Taiwan to teach traditional arts, such as calligraphy and aboriginal dances; which in return, we share with our local community. FASCA also puts a great emphasis on teamwork and team spirit. Our ambassadors are put through trials meant to build friendships and teamwork. Only after they have proven their team spirit can they truly be a part of FASCA. The combination of the two serves to help them work together on further events to educate others in our culture. After the training program, FASCA DC hosts monthly events to either promote Taiwanese and Chinese culture to the USA or to educate our own ambassadors. Our goal is to educate the local community here in American about Chinese and Taiwanese culture through the form of volunteering.
