First bicycles were made in the Czech south-western town of Rokycany in 1922. Thanks to its own development and also great skill of the local staff the company soon managed to produce bikes that met all the needs of a top racing bicycle. Demand for Favorit bicycles became huge, and bike’s fame rose beyond the borders of then Czechoslovakia.
During the two decades after the Velvet revolution the production and the brand struggled. In 2011 Slovak entrepreneur Richard Galovic took up the legend once longed for by every boy in Czechoslovakia and he returned it to the sun. The new Favorit bike is equipped with the latest technology, enhanced with original features, has surprisingly low weight and sports superior design.
Favorit is no longer just a racing bike. It offers twelve models of urban, road racing and off-road bikes different riding styles. All bikes have only one level of equipment – the best one. With a belt instead of a chain, reliable brakes, saddle and handles made of genuine leather and built-in lighting.
Each Favorit is hand-made in the original factory in Rokycany in Czech Republic. It is tailored to a rider on a basis of detailed order and body measurements. Therefore the size and geometry of the frame perfectly match the proportions of the rider's body.
