Yogyakarta State University, Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture

The Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture (FBSB) was initially formed under the name Faculty of Literature and Arts Teaching (FKSS). In 1981, through the arrangement of faculties and institutes at the Yogyakarta Teacher Training and Education Institute (currently Yogyakarta State University), This faculty officially changed its name to the Faculty of Language and Arts Education (FPBS). FKSS originally started from B-1 courses, such as Indonesian, English and Javanese language courses, which eventually changed to FKIP Part A Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Simultaneously with the formation of the Yogyakarta Teacher Training and Education Institute (IKIP Yogyakarta), FKIP Part A UGM was later transformed into the IKIP Yogyakarta, Literature and Arts Teaching Faculty (FKSS).
