De Ultrabrug is ontwikkeld door FDN. FDN is een innovatief ingenieurs- en constructiebedrijf gevestigd in Amsterdam. FDN is in 1996 opgericht en heeft zich sindsdien breed ontwikkeld. Eén van de specialismes van FDN is het ontwerpen en bouwen in Ultrahogesterktebeton. Na jarenlang onderzoek en vele investeringen mag FDN zich een specialist noemen in het materiaal en heeft FDN de Ultrabrug van Ultrahogesterktebeton ontwikkeld en gebouwd. De originaliteit en innovativiteit van de Ultrabrug heeft geleid tot de volgende prijzen: Betonprijs 2013, FiB ‘Special Mention Award for Outstanding Concrete Structures’, Succes Award voor de Bouw 2015, European Business Awards Ruban d'Honneur medaille 2015 en FDN stond op de 17e plaats in de MKB Innovatie Top 100 2014. Naast de verschillende prijzen is FDN genomineerd voor de European Concrete Award 2014.
