De Federatie is een vereniging van en voor VSV’s. Zij vertegenwoordigt de VSV’s en ondersteunt hen gericht op de realisatie van integrale, regionaal georganiseerde geboortezorg waarin cliëntparticipatie geborgd is.
De Federatie:
1) zorgt voor een verbindend platform waar VSV’s met elkaar van gedachten kunnen wisselen over alle zaken waar een VSV mee te maken heeft.
2) ondersteunt van VSV’s ten behoeve van integrale geboortezorg en cliëntparticipatie.
3) behartigt de belangen voor de VSV’s door het creëren van de optimale randvoorwaarden om de taak die het VSV heeft te realiseren. Namelijk bieden van best mogelijke zorg aan moeder en kind, op een zo efficiënt mogelijke manier, transparant, gebaseerd op objectieve gegevens, en met doelmatig gebruik van publieke middelen. De wens van de vrouw en haar naasten staat hierin centraal.
4. Het participeren in en bewaken van alle landelijke initiatieven en plannen om ervoor te zorgen dat die bijdragen aan deze doelstellingen.
Algemeen streven is om landelijk doelmatig zaken te regelen die daar thuishoren zoals een deel van ICT, de indicatoren en het regelen structurele financiering VSV’s enz.
The Federation of VSV's is an association of, for and by all Dutch Perinatal Partnerships (VSV's). She aims to improve the management and coordination of perinatal healthcare improvements and the management of the board of the association itself.
The Federation of VSV's strives for an unambiguous national evaluation of healthcare for comparison and quality improvement and is the pivotal factor and facilitator for the approximately 72 regional VSV's who are all working to provide the best possible perinatal care in their region.
She provides for a strong position and preconditions, the best guarantee for optimal birth care and outcomes is a strong VSV! Furthermore the national representation of the Federation allows the regional perinatal networks to focus on their core task: providing good maternity and obstetric care.
