F.E.E.D. Food, Education, Energy & Development

FEED is a non-profit organisation founded in Germany in 2020 by the Northern German entrepreneur Peter Schrum and partners. The South African FEED was founded and registered at the same time. Protecting our environment while creating a better world for EVERYONE, is the ambitious goal of F.E.E.D. To achieve it F.E.E.D. strives to raise funds from international donors (corporate and private) in order to realise sustainable development projects. Main project area of F.E.E.D. is Africa with a strong focus on South Africa which has been hit both by a severe economic recession and the COVID-19 pandemic. F.E.E.D.’s vision is to ensure that children grow up without hunger, healthy and with a strong immune system to protect them from diseases. In special school programmes locally produced vitality porridge enriched with vitamins, minerals and protein is being distributed to schoolchildren and their families in order to supplement their often one-sided diet and to strengthen their immune system. Furthermore we strive to empower local people so that they can provide for themselves and realise their own life-goals in their homeland while at the same time protecting the natural resources and respecting humanitarian values. To achieve this F.E.E.D.offers certified agricultural and entrepreneurial vocational trainings to people in need and helps them to become self-sufficient and find new jobs. FEED is now calling for donations to continue and expand its projects nationwide. Donations from private as well as corporate donors are tax deductible either in Germany or South Africa and can be customised according to the social responsibility goals of the donor.
