The Faculty of Economics was founded in 1990 and is part of the University of West Bohemia in Plzen. It is located in two cities - in Plzen (the region "Plzensky kraj") and in Cheb (the region "Karlovarsky kraj"). The Faculty of Economics: - consists of five departments and four centres - offers university education in the field of economics and geography - prepares young people for their career and enables them to get focused on their positive attitude towards the labour market and life in a modern society - offers our students and staff mobilities to 60+ foreign partner universities in the EU, USA, Mexico, Russia and East and South East Asia - welcomes 50+ international incoming students annually - deepens collaboration with the labour market and with Faculty alumni - focuses attention of students and lecturers on international cooperation, especially within the EU - develops long-life education, in cooperation with other subjects - realizes educational, scientific and other types of cooperation within the University of West Bohemia in Plzen as well as with other subjects in the Czech Republic and abroad Departments: Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods Department of Finance and Accounting Department of Geography Department of Business Administration and Management Department of Marketing, Trade and Services Centres: Centre for International Activities Centre for Regional Development Research Centre for Longlife Education Centre of Project Activities
