About Ferrarezi Lab of CEA at UGA

Controlled environment agriculture (CEA) is a broad term, usually defining the production of specialty crops, edible, medicinal, and ornamental, in indoor systems – frequently in soil-free systems – with the technology to control the environment such as greenhouses, vertical farms/plant factories, tissue culture, and post-harvest systems. The Ferrarezi Lab focus on irrigation, plant nutrition, hydroponics, and other cropping systems for various horticultural specialty crops in CEA. Dr. Ferrarezi is studying plant responses to different production factors and developing methodologies to maximize plant growth rate, development, morphology, physiology and ultimately improve crop yield, quality, and profitability of horticultural crops. If you are interested in learning more about our program, please contact Rhuanito Ferrarezi directly. The Ferrarezi lab is in current need of students and postdocs looking to work hard to push forward cutting-edge science.
