The biggest Slitter in North America is up and running on the SDI campus in Sinton, Texas. Specializing in toll slitting of master coils with remarkable precision, yield and edge quality, Ferrous 85” Co is able to take on your most demanding slitting needs. This beast of a slitter, which can handle incoming coils in mill edge widths from 36″ to 87″ and up to 105,000 pounds, delivers slit mults from 7″ to 85″, in gauges from .074″ to .750″. …and better. Size is good, but quality is most important. Our slitter features a unique arbor design that allows us to produce a very consistent, precise, high quality slit edge—ideal for edge and width sensitive applications such as ERW pipe production and metal building products. We operate a 200 ton coil carrier truck for hauling and transporting coils to and from on-campus facilities. Additionally, a 10 truck flatbed fleet is available for hauling off-campus loads as needed.
