Fondation Franco-Britannique de Sillery

Founded in 1919, the Fondation Franco-Britannique enables those with disabilities or suffering from social exclusion to develop their professional and social lives. Headquartered in the Chateau de Sillery and with a staff of over 350, the foundation supports some 1000 people, through assistance, training, accommodation, education and protected work at 20 sites, in 4 departments, across France; Finistère (29), Essonne (91), Seine-Saint-Denis (93), and Val de Marne (94). The foundation offers a wide range of services through its 6 ESATs (établissement et service d’aide par le travail) and 2 EAs (entreprise adaptée) to external clients including catering, training, housekeeping, reconditioning, laundry and grounds maintenance. It provides support to adolescents with intellectual disabilities and who may present psycho-pathological disorders, through its Institut Médico-Educatif (IME) whilst the Service d’Éducation Spécialisé et de Soin à Domicile (SESSD) accompanies them through their schooling. It also provides accommodation in its three foyers d'hébergement. It offers a series of professional training courses in construction, management of green spaces and the French language (français langue étrangère), through its Établissement et Services de Réadaptation Professionnelle (ESRP) and helps disabled and disadvantaged people enter the job market through its Accessyl centre. The foundation runs a number of commercial ventures including a biscuit factory (Les Délices de Sillery), a restaurant/delicatessen (La Table de Sillery), a food truck (La Roulotte de Sillery), a meat and fish smoking business (Le Fumoir de Sillery) and a bio market gardening business (Les Chantiers de Sillery).
