ETHOS:
Ffin is a new independent eyewear brand designed with love in Wales and made by hand with care in Italy. Founded in 2022. "Ffin" translates to border, boundary, or frontier in Welsh. The brand focuses on defining lines, whether real or imaginary, visible, tangible, or invisible. Ffin is for the adventurous, the outsiders, the creative souls walking their own path in the world. It's eyewear for individuals who skirt the rules of the status quo.
FOUNDER:
Ffin is founded and designed by Anna Lewis. With a successful career in jewelry design and artistry, Anna brings her considered attention to detail to eyewear. "It feels like a natural progression for me to design eyewear," says Anna. She aims to provide individual confidence to her clients through her unique eyewear designs.
MATERIAL/PROCESS:
The first collection of eyewear ('ORA, ANA, NOS'), defines the brand's ethos of line and point of difference. The frames are made to an optical standard and can be fitted with prescription lenses. They are unisex, using the best bio-based Italian acetate, and the standard sun lenses are made with a 40% plant-based material. Ffin prioritises eco-friendly practices, with all packaging recycled to minimise environmental impact.
INSPIRATION:
Everything stems from the obsession over lines—where they fold, intersect, curve, and dissect. Ffin finds inspiration in the urban landscape, gritty architecture, borders marked on the road, and the interaction of the body with space. Ffin frames are designed to let wearers "wear the world."
