FFORA

At FFORA, we work with smallholder farmers organisations and Indigenous Peoples territorial authorities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Pacific. We believe that farmers organisations are powerful agents of change for a just climate transition in agricultural and forested landscape. We provide strategic support to build the knowledge, evidence, communication tools and capacities for farmers organisations' to influence global, regional and national policy and finance streams, including strategic support to the Family Farmers for Climate Action campaign. We strengthen farmers' organisational capacities to access and manage climate finance, including by building their climate funds, to enhance long-term financial sustainability of small and medium rural enterprises, especially for under-utilised species and forgotten foods. We facilitate and broker public and private sector partnerships that accelerate and increase finance directly to farmers organisations and Indigenous Peoples groups that allows them to invest in regenerative, biodiverse and climate resilient crops and agroecoligical production systems. FFORA is hosted by the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation.
