FiberLab

FiberLab is an early stage healthcare startup focusing on the biochemical assessment of wound healing disorders. Chronic wound are a silent epidemics that affects 1-2% of the world population and consumes 2-4% of healthcare expenditures. Their assessment and the evaluation of healing progress are challenging, relying on poorly accurate visual signs and symptoms, which translate into unnecessary medical interventions and preventable hospitalizations. FiberLab aims to support care givers in wound management by providing on-site actionable insights to guide treatment decisions. Our rapid and low-cost microfluidic test strip provides quantitative data on inflammatory and infection markers of the healing process, to provide early information on healing outcomes and the risk of infections.
