We mainly aim to - Assess and rehabilitate prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families - Prevent involvement in crime i.e. initial involvement in crime and re-offending - Use evidence-based practice (EBP) in everything we pursue MISSION STATEMENT FICRA towards a wiser and fairer society. OUR VISION - To help build a safer Lebanon through the implementation of a risk and needs assessment system and the introduction of evidence-based rehabilitation programs in Lebanese prisons. - To support ex-prisoners to make a fresh start and lead crime-free lives by removing barriers, increasing awareness (through documentary making and educational workshops) and building stronger family ties. - To help better conditions in Lebanese prisons by training ISF soldiers and working alongside the prison administration to prevent disturbances including assaults, bullying, riots, antisocial behaviour and other disruptive and maladaptive behaviors. - To offer outreach awareness and tailor-made educational workshops (on a great variety of topics that pertains to our mission of reducing stigma) to the general public and to students in schools and universities in Lebanon. - To assess and reform the existing laws and criminal justice system in Lebanon. We also offer workshops in schools, universities and private events throughout Lebanon.
