FIDES - Accelerating Digital Trust

FIDES is an international movement dedicated to the continuous improvement of digital trust on the internet. Backed by a non-profit foundation, FIDES facilitates shared R&D (Labs), interoperability events (Plugfests), and connects digital ecosystems (Ecosystems), all based on the principles of the FIDES Manifesto. Initially, we focus on the adoption of trusted digital identities for people, organisations, and 'things', essential for digital trust. ##FIDES Labs## Digital trust is an evolving field requiring ongoing experimentation and development to adapt to new challenges. This process is complex and expensive. FIDES offers a shared R&D approach to develop solutions for existing and future challenges. ##FIDES Plugfests## Digital trust thrives on the freedom to choose among digital solutions, requiring open standards and interoperability profiles. FIDES Plugfests bring together solution providers to demonstrate working solutions on predefined themes, showcasing how organizations and individuals can benefit from digital trust solutions. ##FIDES Ecosystems## Many digital ecosystems struggle with adoption and resources. FIDES aims to connect different ecosystems and provide transparency on initiatives related to digital trust, focusing on both mature and emerging solutions, whether generic or cross-domain. ##FIDES Manifesto## The FIDES Manifesto outlines principles to improve digital trust. It serves as a non-binding guide for designing digital solutions and ecosystems, promoting continuous improvement. All entities are invited to ratify the FIDES Manifesto and embrace this shared vision of Digital Trust, encouraging collective efforts for mutual benefit. How Can I Participate?
