Fiesta Blinds & Fabrics Ltd

Fiesta Blinds was founded in the 1970's and evolved over the decade as a retailer of simplistic window coverings to made to measure products manufactured by the well known Northern Irish Company - Decora Blind Systems. As demand grew the decision to manufacture these products in house was taken and soon the company had around 30 employees, including sales, production and installation staff. Sourcing materials locally and establishing strong relationships with large and small businesses was key to its success. In 1995, Fiesta Blinds and Fabrics Ltd was established by Billy McCartney, Paul McCartney and Anne McDermott. The expansion to a new facility at Springrowth Business Park allowed for the production of new products and space for new equipment. The company secured key contracts with DuPont, various University's throughout the North and South of Ireland and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, to name a few. The company enjoyed many years off success following this investment. As technology became more advanced and production processes became more automated, staffing levels were reduced, more products where bought-in rather than manufactured and the business was temporarily downsized. This was successful effort to preserve the long term viability of the company, throughout the financial crisis of 2006. Following the appointment of Paul McDermott as Operations Manager in 2017, he has helped guide the Company with a new approach to manufacturing, incorporating elements of lean manufacturing in to our current processes. Our shared vision for the company is to manufacture all our products in house, reduce waste, increase productivity, improve and maintain the quality of our products and ensure the wellbeing of our staff.
