FIG Air Inc. was launched in 2015 to meet the needs of a corporate owner who wanted his Augusta 109 helicopter managed safely and cost-effectively. In the fall of 2016, FIG Air Inc. purchased a Sikorsky 76D helicopter, and in 2017, it acquired Central Helicopters, a commercial helicopter operator and maintenance organization located in Parry Sound, Ontario. This expansion allowed the company to venture into the utility market and provide maintenance for its growing fleet of aircraft. FIG Air also added a managed Sikorsky 76C++ helicopter to the fleet in 2017. In 2022, FIG Air expanded its operations into the Caribbean with a new base in Nassau, Bahamas, providing executive charter services between the many islands of the Bahamas and Florida. FIG Air continues to succeed in providing luxury helicopter charters, aircraft management and maintenance services, and aircraft leasing.
