Fighting Irish Capital is a student-led group whose purpose is to introduce Master of Science in Finance (MSF) students to the fundamentals of value investing and portfolio management. Fighting Irish Capital offers a unique opportunity for student involvement and experiential learning. The club manages a $480,000+ portfolio of long equity positions as a portion of the university endowment. It also hosts regular workshops covering various topics critical to investing, from overviews of the investment management industry to various valuation techniques. This unparalleled opportunity allows club members to simulate the investment decisions made by portfolio managers through critical evaluation of stock pitches. Since 1988, the fund has earned an average annual return of 8.6%.
