Fileas

Fileas, a telecommunications operator, provides data, sound, photos, and message broadcasting solutions through satellite in Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia. Its services include files transmission, on demand files delivery, in-band management, and press agency and two way services, as well as design and implementation services. The company also offers various software products, such as Fileas File for file transmission by satellite, Fileas Exchange for selective and on demand distribution of information, and Fileas Manager to manage IP/DVB receivers either from a hub or a distant personal computer through the Internet. Fileas was formerly known as Polycom. The company was founded in 1986 and is based in Paris, France. As of October 31, 2007, Fileas is a subsidiary of Telespazio S.p.A.
