Our Whole House Water Filters use an NSF certified AquaSorb® HS acid washed coconut shell carbon by Jacobi, the leader in carbon media. AquaSorb® HS is an acid washed high purity high activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation from carefully select coconut shells. This activated carbon is produced for use in ultrapure water treatment systems requiring low conductivity and exceptionally high purity.
Our Salt-free Water Softeners use a salt-free, anti-scale media to reduce and prevent scaling by 99.6%. During the TAC process, atoms are placed in a special structure so that a template is created, this nanotechnology is so effective that it requires a contact time of only seconds. The media transforms the calcium ions into sub-micron sized calcium crystals that are carried along with the water flow. These crystals are visible only if viewed through a microscope. They are completely stable and resist destruction by heat. The crystals will not attach to any surface. The result has the same effect as if the water was free of calcium hardness. There are no capacity constraints and regeneration is not necessary.
FilterSmart systems do not require monthly salt exchanges, water waste, or electricity for backwashing, helping reduce our environmental impact, which makes our systems eco-friendly and practical. We are located in beautiful Santa Barbara, California.
