17th FIMBA World Maxibasketball Championship.
From 27 June to 6 July 2025, Bellinzona, Lugano and Locarno will host the largest amateur basketball event in the world.
Maxibasketball (often referred to as Masters or Senior basketball),created in 1969, allows men and women to continue competitive basketball play from the age of 30 up to 80 and beyond.
Over 350 teams from all over the globe will converge in Ticino from 27 June to 6 July 2025 to proudly represent their countries and participate in a friendly and exciting competition.
About FIMBA: The International Maxibasketball Federation (FIMBA) was founded in 1991 to promote competitive basketball for players aged 30 and older.
About FIMBA Switzerland: Established in 2017, strives to develop and promote Maxibasketball in the country by organizing exciting games and events for basketball enthusiasts from the age of 30 onwards
