Finans4Alle is a non-profit organization which aims at contributing to a more diverse financial industry in Norway. By diversity we mean a finance industry composed of people of different ethnicities and genders. Based on the team's personal experiences and insights acquired from third parties we have come up with a set of solutions to assist us achieve our goal of contributing to a more diverse financial industry in Norway.
Why have we launched Finans4alle?
· Only 6% of people in the finance industry has an immigrant background and the majority of these are from eastern Europe.
· We aim to increase the representation of employees with an immigrant background in the finance industry and as follow encourage
those with a different ethnicity than Norwegian to pursue a higher education in Finance.
· We aim to contribute in helping people with a different ethnicity than Norwegian and/or from minority groups with a background in Finance to feel worthy and satisfied by getting relevant jobs in Finance.
· To create a platform for networking and exchanging ideas between ethnic and non-ethnic Norwegian/or those living in Norway with an immigrant background.
· To contribute in cultivating a sense of respect and recognition of skills of people with an immigrant background.
