Black womxn and femmes across a range of industries are often going above and beyond their mental and physical limits for their occupations, families, and communities due to historical stigmas of toxic strength. This history of toxic strength has led to disproportionate rates of physical and mental health illnesses such as cardiovascular disease, Lupus, and anxiety disorder to name a few. This has only been exacerbated over the past few years amongst the reality of supporting the dual pandemic of COVID-19 and continued racial injustices.
